Litter is ugly, unhealthy and unsafe, but too many people just don’t realize the impact is has on our community. To help educate Valley youth and spread the message about the dangers of litter, Don’t Trash Arizona teamed with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale to host a special contest for a chance to star in an upcoming Don’t Trash Arizona PSA.
After hosting educational workshops at the various Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, Don’t Trash Arizona put out a call for creative and passionate ideas for solving the litter problem in the Arizona, specifically on Valley freeways. We received dozens of entries in essay, photo and video categories and selected a few winners who best shared why littering is a problem and what we can do about it.
